Started in the 70′s assisting on Fleetwood Mac’s Green Manalishi, Oh Well and early Fleetwood Mac albums at De Lane Lea – London, quickly rose to chief engineer and then pursued a freelance engineering / production career, recording, Queen’s first album, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, Sweet (Action, Fox on The Run etc. ), Leo Sayer (Platinum), 3 Judas Priest albums (including multi Platinum) Screaming For Vengeance. A close co-operation with Deep Purple’s singer Ian Gillan saw a partnership culminating in a recording studio; Kingsway Recorders which for many years was one of the top 10 studios in London. I also built a Mobile Recording Studio called Fleetwood Mobile the largest and best equipped in its day and still in use.
Started Home Service in 1988 selling bespoke studio packages.
Diversified into marketing and handled the international sales & marketing for AD Systéme. The bestselling Optifile system became the most widely used retro-fit automation world-wide. This was before the advent of digital desks.
Came up with the name “Vitalizer” launched and distributed it for SPL, this groundbreaking product became a bench mark for audio enhancement.
In the 90’s another change of direction led to PR for audio companies, specialising in features, stories and photography from around the world. Worked for Genelec the market leader in Pro Audio monitoring for 15 years.
Photography which started for me as a hobby years ago has become an important adjunct to my skills in web design.
